Value Investing
Overview
Unlike growth investors who seek out undervalued stocks, a value investor is the exact opposite, they will strategically look for specific stocks that have intrinsic value at the time.
The main expectation from a value investor is that these securities will increase and so they would seek to buy them before that happens. A very well-known investment figure being Warren Buffet has made this a staple of his strategy over the years.
He argues that the merits of buying stocks that sell for less than their value is only based on the fact that they'll bring solid returns in the future.
